I was hoping to get some feedback on my new game I'm working on. Without knowing anything else about the game, what are your first impressions of our main character concept art.

Looks Bloodborne-esque. Not in tone, but there's that romanticised late 1800s English style about it.

I expect him to hit things with that lamp post.

His hair looks like a flame.

I don't know why but, at first glance, I've felt as if this character/game, is about or includes time travel . But that might be telling more about me and less about the character 😄.

There is a world state change that will happen. Not time travel but kind of similar! Good eye

Wow, I didn't expect to guess that close actually, thanks 😄. Now to think of it, I guess, I got some weird traveller vibes from it, that's why I've said that. So overall, I think it's good character design. It definitely communicated that feeling to me.

I'm seeing broken images again *crying emoji*

But I saw the images yesterday. Looked very cool actually. Gave me Lovercraft type vibes.. although the weapon(?) does sort of look like a lamppost hahah. Either way, looks cool Jordan.

Pretty sure broken images is Dropbox's end. Other images embed fine but I will double check.

I can now see both images, and the character looks very good and interesting.

Personally, I much dislike exaggerations so common in contemporary artwork in movies and games, because I feel that by making everything "pop" it only achieves the opposite effect: it makes everything shallow. There's nothing like that in these images, I'm happy to report! :) The dramatic determination is palpable and feels real.

I assume the character is either some kind of adventurer mage or an explorer or guardian of dimensions or parallel worlds, maybe in some kind of steampunk setting. By coincidence, I've just rewatched the first season of the series "The Terror," so this Victorian-style heroic figure definitely has my interest.

Well done! When can we learn more?

We're trying to get funding now. Even if we don't, it'll eventually release, just much slower going as my artist and I work day jobs.
