Welcome to the new Industry Devs website! It’s been a long trip getting here as we have been growing our presence on YouTube and X, we wanted to expand a bit more to traditional forms of media where we can maintain and control our own content free from 3rd party entities. This allows us to be more flexible in the event anything happens to other platforms.
This also allows us to cover more topics like Indies, which the industry seems to be lacking in terms of valuable content to help showcase smaller developers. We believe independent developers are the backbone of the industry – pushing the boundaries of ideas to the edge with fresh and innovative games. It is important for the industry to help highlight independent devs to help propel the medium forward. Content will likely be thin initially but we are working to bring you relevant articles and insights for both game development and industry news.
Additionally, we will be archiving our Discord server and keeping it solely for community voice communication in the future. Our new community discussion board is private, away from 3rd party control and can be found at https://industrydevs.com/community/. With more and more of our data being handed over to large corporations to sell, we have decided to stop using Discord for our community hub.
